Jason's Plan for the Grays Harbor Prosecutor's Office

Grays Harbor County deserves a Prosecutor’s Office that works—one that holds offenders accountable, supports victims, and operates with professionalism and integrity.

Jason Walker returned to Grays Harbor and is running to restore stability, strengthen public safety, and ensure the justice system delivers real results for our community.

Restore Stability and Leadership to the Prosecutor’s Office

Fact: In the past few years, the Prosecutor’s Office has experienced nearly 300% turnover.

The Prosecutor’s Office must be a place where experienced attorneys want to work—and stay.

High turnover, inconsistent practices, and lack of leadership weaken public safety and undermine justice.

Jason has worked with nearly every prosecutor’s office across the state and has seen what works—and what doesn’t. He will:

  • Rebuild a professional, stable team of prosecutors
  • Treat attorneys and staff with professionalism and respect
  • Create clear expectations and consistent policies across the office

Strong leadership inside the office leads to stronger outcomes in the courtroom.

Support Victims and Enforce Their Rights

The justice system must work for victims—not leave them behind.

Jason became a prosecutor after witnessing the real, lifelong consequences of domestic violence and sexual assault on victims.

As Prosecutor, he will:

  • Ensure victims are supported, informed of their rights, and heard throughout the process
  • Bring a trauma-informed, victim-centered approach to communication
  • Connect victims with resources that can help them heal

Protecting victims and upholding their rights isn’t optional—it’s a core responsibility of the office.

Hold Offenders Accountable — Consistently and Effectively

Jason has spent his career prosecuting serious cases—including domestic violence, murder, theft, and crimes against vulnerable victims—and understands what it takes to secure convictions and protect the community.

As an early champion of diversion and therapeutic courts, he also knows how to maximize the effectiveness of public safety dollars by leveraging the power of the courts to stop the revolving door for those who can be reformed.

As Prosecutor, he will:

  • Prioritize prosecution of repeat criminals, violent and sex offenders, and those who threaten the community
  • Focus resources on the cases that have the greatest impact on public safety
  • Ensure that Grays Harbor’s therapeutic courts remain focused on accountability—with real consequences for failure

Accountability isn’t about rhetoric—it’s about results.

Train Prosecutors and Raise Standards Across the Board

Experience matters—but training is what builds excellence.

Jason has led statewide efforts to train prosecutors through the Washington Association of Prosecuting Attorneys, creating programs that prepare attorneys to succeed in court from day one.

As Prosecutor, he will:

  • Bring proven training methods to Grays Harbor County
  • Ensure new prosecutors are prepared, confident, and effective
  • Raise the overall standard of prosecution across the office

Better-trained prosecutors mean stronger cases and safer communities.

Work With Law Enforcement as True Partners

Effective prosecution depends on strong relationships with law enforcement.

Jason has worked closely with local agencies throughout his career and understands the importance of collaboration, communication, and trust.

As Prosecutor, he will:

  • Treat law enforcement as partners and strengthen cooperation
  • Ensure the rights of all are respected
  • Provide clear, consistent legal guidance during investigations

Public safety is a team effort—and the Prosecutor must lead from the front.

Modernize the Office and Improve Efficiency

An effective Prosecutor’s Office must use modern tools and smart systems—not outdated processes.

Jason has worked with county prosecutors throughout the state and can bring proven processes to Grays Harbor County.

As Prosecutor, he will:

  • Work with the courts and other justice system partners to reduce inefficiencies and delays
  • Improve efficiency by maximizing the time attorneys have to work on cases—not wait in court
  • Use data to track performance and outcomes

Efficiency isn’t about bureaucracy—it’s about delivering justice faster and more effectively.

Bring Experience That Delivers Results

Jason Walker isn’t just talking about what needs to be done—he’s already done it.

  • Former Chief Criminal Deputy Prosecutor
  • Dozens of felony trials and appellate cases
  • Statewide leader in prosecutor training and policy
  • Proven record of modernizing and improving systems

He knows the challenges. He understands the system. And he’s ready to lead on day one.

A Prosecutor Focused on Results

Grays Harbor County doesn’t need slogans.

It needs a Prosecutor who will:

  • Hold offenders accountable
  • Support victims
  • Strengthen the office
  • Deliver real results

Jason Walker is ready to do the job.
